The Convergence of Three Trails
Crater Park
The launch point for paddling adventures on the Yadkin River Blue Water Trail. Crater Park sits on the riverbank and provides kayak and canoe access, picnic shelters, and stunning views of the water cutting through the foothills.
Municipal Park
A sprawling 25-acre park connected to the Elkin Rail Trail. Features include a public swimming pool, tennis courts, fishing ponds, playgrounds, and shaded walking paths for the whole family.
The Major Trails
Elkin is the only town in North Carolina where three major trails meet: the Mountains-to-Sea Trail spanning the state coast to mountains, the Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail, and the Yadkin River Blue Water Trail.
