What we need to quote you

Everything below takes about five minutes to gather. Bring it and you get real numbers from multiple carriers — not a placeholder price that changes later.

The five-second shortcut

If you have a current policy, send a photo of your declarations page and you can skip almost everything below. That one document already lists your carrier, dates, drivers, vehicles or property details, limits, and deductibles. Upload it here or text it to (336) 827-9065.

Auto insurance

Required means we cannot quote without it. Optional means it sharpens the price.

  1. Contact details RequiredName, phone, email, and the address where the vehicles are parked overnight — including city, state, and ZIP.
  2. Every driver in the household RequiredFull name and date of birth for each licensed driver living in the home, plus marital status. North Carolina requires every household driver to be listed or formally excluded — this is the single most common reason a quote changes later.
  3. Every vehicle RequiredYear, make, and model for each one.
  4. VIN for each vehicle OptionalThe 17-character number on the dashboard or door jamb. Not required, but it pins down the exact trim and safety features, which usually moves the price.
  5. Current coverage OptionalYour carrier, expiration date, current liability limits, and deductibles. Lets us compare like for like instead of guessing.
  6. Accidents, tickets, or claims in the last 3 years OptionalTell us up front. The carrier pulls your official record regardless — mentioning it early is what keeps the quoted number and the final number the same.

Home insurance

Same idea: the first three are required, the rest sharpen the price.

  1. Contact details RequiredName, phone, and email.
  2. Property address RequiredFull address with city and ZIP, and whether you own it or are in the process of buying.
  3. About the house OptionalProperty type, year built, approximate square footage, and construction type — frame, brick, or masonry.
  4. The roof OptionalMaterial and the year it was last replaced. In North Carolina, roof age affects home insurance pricing and eligibility more than almost anything else on the list.
  5. Current coverage OptionalCarrier, expiration date, and current dwelling coverage amount.
  6. Claims in the last 5 years OptionalIncluding claims filed by a previous owner, which follow the property rather than the person.
  7. Anything that changes the risk OptionalPool, trampoline, wood stove, security system, home business, or valuables like jewelry or firearms that may need scheduling.

Boat, pontoon and personal watercraft

Boats rate on the hull, the motor and the operator, so the first four are required.

  1. Contact details and where the boat lives RequiredName, phone, email, and the address where the boat is stored when it is not in the water, with city and ZIP. If it stays in a slip or at a lake house, tell us that address too.
  2. The boat RequiredYear, make, model, length and hull type, plus the hull identification number (HIN) stamped on the transom. For a personal watercraft, year, make and model is enough to start.
  3. The motor RequiredYear, make, horsepower and whether it is outboard, inboard or stern drive. Twin motors count twice.
  4. Every operator RequiredName and date of birth for each person who will drive the boat, years of boating experience, and whether they hold a North Carolina boater education card.
  5. Where and how you use it OptionalInland lakes only, or coastal and offshore trips. Year-round or stored for the winter. This sets the navigation area and any lay-up period on the policy.
  6. Trailer OptionalYear, make and approximate value if you want it covered on the boat policy.
  7. Lienholder OptionalLender name and address if the boat is financed. The lender will require physical-damage coverage and will want to be listed.
  8. Current coverage and claims OptionalCarrier, expiration date, insured value and deductibles, plus any boat claims in the last five years. A photo of the declarations page covers all of this at once.

Renters insurance

The quickest quote we write. Three items are required; the rest sharpen it.

  1. Contact details RequiredName, phone, email and date of birth for each adult to be named on the policy.
  2. The rental address RequiredFull address with unit number, city and ZIP, and whether it is an apartment, townhome, house or room in a house.
  3. Move-in date RequiredThe date coverage needs to start. Landlords usually want proof on or before the lease start.
  4. The lease's insurance clause OptionalA photo of the page that states the required liability limit and any interested-party wording. We match it exactly.
  5. Personal property estimate OptionalA rough replacement cost for everything you own. Our how much do I need guide and the calculator get you there in ten minutes.
  6. Roommates or partner OptionalWho else lives there and whether they are related to you. Unrelated roommates usually need their own policy.
  7. Dogs and valuables OptionalBreed of any dog, and any single item such as a ring, camera or instrument that may exceed a special limit.
  8. Current auto policy OptionalCarrier and renewal date, so we can quote the renters policy alongside the auto for a bundle.

What you never need to send us

No legitimate agent needs these to produce a quote. If anyone asks for them by email or text — including someone claiming to be us — stop and call the office at (336) 835-1993.

Common questions

Do I need my Social Security number to get a quote?

No. You do not need to give an SSN to get a quote from us. Never send an SSN, a license image, or a bank account number by email or text. If a carrier needs extra verification later, it happens on that carrier's own secure system — never over email.

What is the fastest way to get an accurate quote?

Send a photo of your current declarations page. It contains your carrier, policy dates, drivers, vehicles or property details, limits, and deductibles all at once — which removes the back-and-forth and makes the comparison genuinely apples to apples.

Do I have to list everyone in my household?

Yes. North Carolina carriers require every licensed driver in the household to be listed on the policy or formally excluded from it. Leaving someone off is the most common reason a quoted price does not match the final price.

How long does a quote take?

Gathering your information takes about five minutes. Because we are an independent agency, we then run it against multiple carriers, so what you get back is a comparison rather than one company's price.

Will getting a quote affect my credit score?

No. Carriers use a soft inquiry for insurance scoring in North Carolina. It does not affect your credit score the way a loan or credit card application does.
